
On data center construction programs, accurate payroll and WIP reporting depend on the same labor data, but that information may reach payroll and project job cost on different schedules. A crew completes work at month-end. Supervisors review the crew’s time a few days later. - Labor burden: Are fringes, payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, and employer contributions reflected consistently in actual labor cost and the estimate at completion?
- Rate control: Can the team apply effective-dated rate changes without separately updating multiple spreadsheets or systems?
- Reconciliation: Can payroll, the general ledger, job cost, and certified payroll reporting be traced to the same underlying time and rate data?
