
Acumatica first announced with the release of the 2024 R1 update that support will eventually end for the Authorize.net service integration by 2025. Though the initial date was extended, as of March of this year, the final date for the deprecation will be Monday, June 30, 2025. Authorize.net Payments Deprecation in Acumatica ERP
Acumatica Cloud ERP first announced the future cessation of support for Authorize.net payments in April 2024, with a planned date for end of support for March 31, 2025. However, after receiving feedback from customers, this initial deadline was extended to June 30, 2025.
According to a post on the Acumatica Community forum, this decision was undertaken due to “technological challenges related to maintaining a secure integration with Authorize.net,” which could ostensibly put Acumatica ERP users at risk. This was part of a regular security, privacy and compliance standard review by Acumatica to ensure risk mitigation and ensure customer data is protected in their cloud-hosted SaaS environment.
This change impacts businesses currently using Authorize.net for integrated payment processing with your Acumatica ERP system. Organizations that process credit card payments directly within Acumatica through the Authorize.net connector will need to transition to an alternative payment processing solution. The deprecation does not affect using other payment processors or if you are processing payments outside of your ERP.
After June 30, 2025:
- The Authorize.net integration may stop functioning at any time
- Acumatica will provide no technical support for the integration
- Payment processing through the connector may fail unpredictably
- The integration will not be supported across all Acumatica versions, including older releases
Acumatica Payments
Users still requiring a payment processing solution should review the Acumatica Payments module, which is the preferred application for the publisher as a native built-in tool. It provides integrated payment processing that connects directly to financial and banking networks. The module supports credit card, Automated Clearing House (ACH) and Electronic Funds Transfer processing without requiring external integrations.

- All major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover)
- ACH payments from major banks
- Electronic gift cards (physical and electronic)
- Mobile payments including Google Pay and Apple Pay
- Contactless payments through integrated card readers

- Click-to-pay links that can be sent directly from invoices and sales orders
- Customer self-service portal for payment management
- Automated recurring payment processing
- Mobile payment collection through Acumatica’s mobile application
- Daily bank deposits with automatic reconciliation file imports
- PCI compliance support with secure tokenization
- Partial payment capabilities and authorization holds for future deliveries
Customers may also transition to other certified third-party payment processors that maintain a viable integration connector, though Acumatica has indicated that continued security enhancements may lead to additional restrictions on third-party payment solutions in the future.
Authorize.net will continue to be supported in the Acumatica Commerce module until a fully working solution for Acumatica Payments with BigCommerce and Shopify is available. This will allow you to continue importing credit card payments from these ecommerce platforms into your ERP without disruption.
