Amid all the hustle and bustle of Acumatica Summit 2026, the SWK Technologies team took an evening to relax and spend quality time over drinks and dinner with our exceptional customers and partners who have become friends over the years.
The time? The night of January 26: a chilly evening in Seattle. The place? Seattle’s celebrated Gold Dust Room in the heart of downtown.
The tucked-away entrance to the Gold Dust Room opened onto the foot of a dim stairwell filled with the far-off hum of conversation and the clink of cocktail glasses. It all created a speakeasy feel that paid off when guests entered the Gold Dust’s legendary VIP entrance featuring a marble bar with a team of mixologists crafting custom vintage cocktails with calm efficiency.
Guests drifted between the Gold Dust’s multiple rooms – some gathering around the vintage pool table, others drawn to the floor-to-ceiling windows with jewel-like views of the city at night.
The elegant dinner featured local, handmade cheeses and top-of-the-line selections like chimichurri beef and honeyed mustard chicken satay. Waitstaff threaded their way through the rooms, offering delectable and unique amuse-bouche, including cheese croquettes, crab salad canapés, and citrus-avocado crostini.
As cocktails flowed and conversations deepened, it was time for the evening’s centerpiece: the awards ceremony.
SWK’s Joe Santoro (VP, Business Development – STAT) tested the mic. Guests crowded into the Gold Dust’s dining room. A hush fell on the crowd. Winners hadn’t been announced in advance, so the crowd knew that anyone in the room could be named.
All eyes were on Joe as he announced this year’s award recipients:
- ExerPlay, Inc. – Bridge Builder Award
ExerPlay, a leader in active play and fitness solutions, facilitated exceptional project success by fostering strong and effective partnerships between their organization and SWK.
- HS Blockercorp, Inc. – Trailblazer of the Year
HS Blockercorp, a specialist in protective equipment and safety solutions, achieved groundbreaking results through custom development and tailored solutions for Acumatica.
- Hammer Nutrition – Pioneer in Progress
Hammer Nutrition, a trusted name in endurance sports nutrition since 1987, demonstrated outstanding success in migrating to Acumatica from another solution, overcoming challenges to unlock new opportunities.
As each company was invited to receive an award, their representatives made their way forward amid enthusiastic applause. They took pictures, shook hands, and accepted their award certificates with broad smiles.
After Joe, SWK’s Carla Brown (VP, Partners and Alliances) took the stage to announce the Innovation in Integration Awards with ISV partners:
- SC2 – Avalara Award
SC2, a premier supply chain services provider specializing in procurement, sourcing, and vendor management, turbocharged their tax compliance capabilities in Acumatica with an outstanding Avalara integration. (They were unable to attend the party, so Avalara accepted the award on their behalf.)
- AssetGenie – BigCommerce Award
AGiRepair, operating as AssetGenie, a leader in mobile device repair and wireless repair parts distribution since 2001, scaled their online eCommerce store and increased company efficiency by integrating Acumatica with BigCommerce.
- Unlimited Construction Services, Inc – Workforce Go Award
Unlimited Construction, specializing in high-quality commercial and residential construction projects throughout the Hawaiian islands, streamlined their complex HR and payroll needs in Acumatica with Workforce Go.
A technical difficulty delayed the photography for this round of awards, and the roar of conversation in the dining room almost drowned out Joe’s voice as he began to present the final two customer awards of the evening:
- Legacy Group / Traverse Group / DP Wagner – SWK Change Champion Award
Legacy Retail, operating as Traverse Group and DP Wagner, empowered their CPG Advisory professionals and retail channel experts by demonstrating exceptional commitment to organizational transformation and leveraging their Acumatica ERP as a strategic tool for growth across their diverse operations.
- Dillon Precision – SWK Acumatica Customer of the Year
Dillon Precision, a world-renowned manufacturer of precision reloading equipment for nearly 60 years, exemplified exceptional engagement with Acumatica implementation methodology and set the benchmark for success stories.
After the final applause died down, the mixologists were ready to refill everyone’s cocktails, and we all spent the next few hours catching up with old friends, meeting new contacts, and exchanging opinions on which celebrities were featured on the Rock n’ Roll wall in the Gold Dust’s main room.
As we each collected our coats at the end of the evening and headed down the dim, speakeasy stairway out to the cold Seattle night, we realized it would be a year before Acumatica Summit 2027 and the next SWK Customer Reception…
