Last week during Sage Summit, we got a huge enthusiastic response to the beta version of our new SaaS-based SWK Brewery Management System (BMS), v1.0. This is one of six new SaaS-based products presented during Sage Summit.
BMS came about as a result of SWK’s efforts to work in the brewery industry. As we worked to develop our connections to North American breweries, we quickly found that even though there was a strong population of Sage ERP X3 eligible companies, there were 10 times that number of smaller companies using QuickBooks, Peachtree, MAS and/or Dynamics for their accounting. These breweries had no solution for production; in fact, they used paper, spreadsheets and/or some other manual process to get the job done.
BMS is a public and private cloud-based application designed for microbreweries and their distributors that offers a real-time view of all orders for management and distributors. Among other features, BMS enables graphical timelines of orders, batches and fermentation tanks, production planning with load balancing and inventory requisitions, real-time changes in packaging and automated keg management and reporting. BMS integrates with many of the leading middle market accounting software packages.
SWK plans to have the full release of BMS available this fall. A video presentation is available on SWKTech.com.
